Innoflex: flexible, rubberlike elastomer material with different levels of stiffness. A material with a reduced carbon footprint and improved elastic performance. Shore hardness 40D (slightly softer than 45D), made from Arnitel®Eco. Arnitel®Eco is a partly bio-based Thermoplastic Copolyester Elastomer (TPC ) plastic which is derived from rapeseed oil and combines the best properties of elastomers (rubbers) and polyesters.

This material is proven to have a carbon footprint up to 50% lower than comparable co-polyesters.

The material delivers excellent adhesion in the Z-direction, meaning that the printed layers don’t detach – even with extreme deformation.

Especially suitable for printing flexible parts like miniature tires, drive belts, bracelets and parts that have to be extremely flexible and have to be bent often.

Tips & tricks

With some printers the Innoflex40 could give some problems, as this is a very flexible filament.
We do recommend a printer with a ‘pull’ system. A ‘push’ system probably will give problems with loading the filament.

The settings we are using with the Innoflex 45 and Innoflex 40;

the nozzle VERY close to the bed – on some printers we first do ‘normal levelling’ and then add tape

print temperature between 230-250 °C

speed between 30-40mms

heated bed between 0-30°C + tape

raise the flow to 125 – 150% (via the printer)

using a brim is advisable

As a hobbyist, most of my 3D printing work to date has been with ABS and PLA filaments. Still, there are a few things I would like to print/design requiring flexibility. I have been using this flexible filament in my PRUSA i3 MK2 printer. No bed adhesive was needed since the PRUSA uses a PEI bed sheet. The color of the printouts is a nice. This filament seems like a good value.
